Beginner
Beginners can start sailing at the Nene Outdoors site used by Lakeside Sailing Club. The current Nene Park courses page says Nene Outdoors provides taster sessions and governing-body training courses for adults and children, operates the RYA Sailing Scheme, and says beginner courses cover the basics of dinghy sailing. The same page says people may join Lakeside Sailing Club for further progression. The official Lakeside Sailing Club Wix URL was checked in a browser and currently returns a Wix 404, so this relies on current Nene Park evidence rather than club-owned page content.
Training
Training is available through Nene Outdoors at Gunwade Lake. The current Nene Park courses page says it provides taster sessions and governing-body training courses for adults and children, including RYA Sailing Courses for Youth aged 8-15 and Adults 16+, beginner Adult Level / Youth Stage 1 and progression to Level / Stage 2, with more advanced RYA sailing scheme levels available by speaking to the Nene Outdoors team.
Taster
Taster sessions are currently offered by Nene Outdoors rather than evidenced directly on a working club-owned page. The current Nene Park courses page says Nene Outdoors provides taster sessions and links to booking for courses or taster sessions.

Suitability

Juniors, families, and accessibility

Juniors
Junior and family suitability is supported by Nene Park evidence. The Nene Outdoors page describes Gunwade Lake watersports as suitable for families and beginners, says accredited sailing courses are available for adults and children, and the courses page lists RYA Sailing Courses for Youth aged 8-15 and Adult 16+. The launch package includes a Family annual launch option for up to 5 people and one boat, plus a Family double option for up to 5 people and two boats.
Access
Nene Outdoors states its centre and facilities are accessible to everyone, with specialist changing bathroom and hoist facilities, and says most on-site activities can be adapted to individual requirements. The current Nene Outdoors page also says annual dinghy storage has a limited number of hardstanding spaces for sailors with restricted mobility, and its FAQ lists an accessible changing facility with height-adjustable changing bench, hoist system and shower during opening hours. Peterborough Sailability operates at Nene Outdoors, but it is a separate club, so this evidence should not be presented as Lakeside Sailing Club running accessible sailing itself.

Boat hire
Nene Outdoors sailing dinghy hire is available after course progression rather than evidenced as Lakeside Sailing Club public hire. The Nene Outdoors FAQ says buoyancy aids are included with all boat hire, and visitors launching their own craft can hire a buoyancy aid from the shop if needed.
