Hykeham Sailing Club presents itself as a warm, welcoming, family-friendly club for beginners through experienced sailors. Training
The club says it is RYA affiliated and an RYA Recognised Training Centre. It offers adult RYA Level 1 Start Sailing and RYA Level 2 Basic Skills courses for ages 16+, with 2026 combined Level 1 and 2 course dates listed for 16/17 and 23/24 May and 20/21 and 27/28 June. The Open Days page describes an annual Discover Sailing open day where non-members and people new to sailing can visit, see the facilities, meet members and go out for a sail with an experienced club sailor at no charge. The club runs free Saturday afternoon junior and youth sailing sessions for Junior Club Members and children of Family Members, normally 13:00 to 16:00. The Junior/Youth page says RYA-qualified instructors provide safe, fun dinghy tuition for beginners or experienced sailors, club dinghies are available with no boat-hire fees for these sessions, buoyancy aids and life jackets can be borrowed, and a parent or guardian must stay on site. The home page also says junior sessions are designed for ages 5 to 16.

The Affiliates page lists Hykeham Sailability as a group sharing the water at Hykeham gravel pits, and the public calendar lists current Sailability sessions. Practical details such as hoists, adapted boats, disabled parking or accessible toilets were not found on the checked Hykeham Sailing Club pages.

The current official Courses page lists the combined adult RYA Level 1 and 2 course fee as GBP 300 for four days. The Open Days page says the annual Discover Sailing open day is free, though the listed 25 April 2026 date had passed at this 12 June 2026 check. The Junior/Youth page says junior/youth sessions are free for Junior Club Members and children of Family Members, with no boat-hire fees for those sessions. No current public exact membership prices were found; the membership page redirects to login.
Member club-boat use is supported, but this is not public commercial boat hire. The Courses page says people who satisfactorily complete RYA Level 2 have sufficient competence to use the club's own boats, weather permitting. The Junior/Youth page says a range of club dinghies is available for junior/youth sessions and there are no boat-hire fees for those sessions.
