The Cruising Association has beginner-facing support: Cruising Skills Week is described for people taking their first steps afloat and includes cruising-for-beginners content, and the Crewing Service is presented as suitable whether someone is new to sailing or experienced.
Training
Current official events include CA House courses such as RYA First Aid at Sea, RYA Diesel Engine Maintenance for beginners, RYA VHF Radio, and RYA / World Sailing Offshore Personal Survival. Cruising Skills Week also offers free expert-led webinars and a seminar focused on practical cruising knowledge.
Cruising Association is a Limehouse-based cruising organisation for sailors and motor cruisers, with CA House, a crewing service, RYA shorebased training, sections, rallies and member resources.
The official FAQ says non-members may attend one in-person Crewing Service meeting as a taster, and that non-members are welcome at many talks, seminars, and social events. This is not evidence of an on-water sailing taster session.
Family/household evidence is limited: CA membership covers up to two people living at the same address. Young sailor membership is available for ages 18 to 25. No current under-18 junior programme was found on the checked official pages.

Membership prices are published: Full membership is £185/year or £172/year by UK Direct Debit; Young membership for ages 18-25 is £33/year or £29/year by UK Direct Debit; Crewing Service membership is £40/year or £36/year by UK Direct Debit. CA House library research access for non-members is £25/day. CA House member accommodation is listed as £70 single or £75 for two. Cruising Skills Week listed free weekday Zoom talks and Go Affordable Boating Seminar tickets at £10 online or £28 in person.
No official boat-hire offer from the Cruising Association was found. The official FAQ says CA benefits are relevant to people who are chartering or hiring and that the Crewing Service offers opportunities to crew on members' boats, but this is not the same as CA-provided boat hire.
