Beginner
The dinghy training page says AYC helps cadets and adults develop skills and offers some dinghy training for beginners and improvers over the summer months, but only for AYC members.
Training
Axe Yacht Club is a recognised training centre for dinghy sailing. The club says unpredictable beach launching and the tidal river mean it cannot offer formal RYA dinghy training courses in the same way as a commercial RYA sea school. Contact the club to check current member training options.
Family membership is available for one or two cohabiting adults and their children under 18. Children aged 7-17 can apply as cadet members with an adult member of their immediate family or as part of family membership.
Access
The clubhouse facilities page describes a welcoming accessible entrance, electrically operated door, improved accessibility, six individual shower/changing cubicles in both male and female facilities, and a dedicated family/disabled shower/toilet facility.
