Beginner
Yeadon Sailing Club explicitly welcomes absolute beginners into Tuesday evening training, says people do not have to be able to sail before joining, and states it is happy to help people learn to sail with no experience. The easiest beginner route appears to be joining or booking a tour/taster through the membership route.
Training
Tuesday evening training is offered for everyone from absolute beginners to racers, grouped by ability. The club says the topics are broadly the same as RYA training schemes and most trainers are RYA qualified, but it does not provide formal certification and is not currently an RYA centre for certificates. The site describes Come and Try sessions and says the first taster session is now part of joining the club. The FAQ says newcomers can come to a Come and Try session before joining Tuesday night training if they like sailing.
