Complete beginners can start here. The Learn to Sail page says half-day taster sessions are for people who are completely new or have not sailed in years, with no prior experience needed, and that the club provides boats, safety equipment and support. The Sailing page also says WRSC caters for toe-in-the-water beginners and people new to sailing. Ongoing RYA training is available after joining, so full course progression appears membership-based.

Training

WRSC describes itself as an RYA-affiliated/accredited training centre. It lists RYA Level 1 Start Sailing for complete beginners, RYA Level 2 Basic Skills, RYA Level 3 Better Sailing, RYA Powerboat Level 1 and 2, youth sailing/coaching, adult improvement/start racing sessions, and race coaching. The official handbook says RYA courses are members-only, while taster sessions are for members and non-members.
