The club explicitly supports beginners: adult Thursday evening taster sessions need no prior experience, members' Thursday training is also listed as suitable with no prior experience, and the home page says RYA courses are offered for juniors and adults from beginner to racer.
Training
Adult dinghy training includes Thursday evening sessions, members' training, Saturday coaching, and 2-day weekend or 5-day weekday RYA Level 1 and 2 courses. Members' basic Thursday training is described as free; RYA certification courses are charged separately with a member discount. Junior RYA Youth Sailing Scheme courses are also offered.
Taster
Non-members can attend up to two Thursday evening sailing taster sessions before joining, with pre-booking required. The juniors page lists Thursday evening tasters at GBP 15 per session, refundable if joining as a member. The membership page also says windsurfing membership should only be taken after two Thursday evening taster sessions, with taster fees deductible from membership.

Juniors, families, and accessibility

Juniors
The club has a juniors programme from age 8, including Thursday evening tasters, RYA Youth Sailing Scheme courses, Thursday evening learn-to-sail sessions for members, and Saturday Cadet Squadron activity. Parents must remain on site for Thursday and Saturday junior sessions. Family membership and junior membership categories are listed.
Access
The club says it meets RYA criteria to be a Sailability Centre and offers Sailability within general club activities. It lists one accessible Hansa 303 dinghy, a hoist, accessible ground-floor toilet and changing room, ground-floor saloon/bar/kitchen, and a ramp for the main door lip. Sailing opportunities need to be arranged in advance so support needs and safety can be assessed.
