Beginner
The official FAQ says people who have never sailed before can join all events, including trainings and regattas, and that alumni will teach them on the go. The yacht qualifications page also says there is no formal qualification required to participate in yacht races and recommends Competent Crew or weekend sails for people who have never sailed before.
Training
The club says it organises on-campus and online theory courses plus off-site practical courses for yachts and dinghies. Dinghy training is through Westminster Boating Base for RYA Levels 1 and 2, and yacht training routes include in-person theory with First Class Sailing, online theory with Trafalgar Sailing, and Competent Crew or Day Skipper practical courses with Trafalgar Sailing.
Taster· Unclear
No dedicated current taster session, trial sail, or public open day offer was found on the official pages checked. The FAQ says newcomers can attend events, trainings and regattas, but that is not specific enough to mark a taster-session offer as available.

Suitability

Juniors, families, and accessibility

Juniors· Unclear
No junior or family sailing programme was found on the official pages checked. The join page categorises the group as a Student Club and the club describes its mission for the LBS club community, so it should not be presented as a public junior or family sailing venue without clearer evidence.
Access· Unclear
No accessibility, Sailability, adaptive sailing, disabled access, or access-support information was found on the official pages checked.

Prices

The yacht qualifications page lists online theory through Trafalgar Sailing as discounted from GBP 280 to GBP 250 if booked together with the practical course, and lists a partner discount of GBP 440 for Competent Crew and Day Skipper practical courses. The dinghy qualifications page says LBS email users can get 10% off RYA Levels 1 and 2 Dinghy training when booking both levels in one day, or 15% if also under 23, but it does not list the underlying dinghy course price.

Membership

Official club page is for the London Business School community and advertises on-campus/online theory courses, off-site yacht and dinghy practical courses, regattas and social events.

Boat hire· Unclear
The dinghy qualifications page says people should be able to rent a dinghy at Westminster Boating Base after completing RYA Levels 1 and 2, but no LBS-owned boat hire or club craft-use offer was found on the official pages checked.
