Beginner
The club says no sailing experience is necessary, offers RYA Level 1 Start Sailing as an introduction, and describes itself as friendly and welcoming. It also encourages prospective members to visit on sailing days and speak to members before joining.
Training
Tamworth Sailing Club says it is an RYA Training Centre offering adult and junior courses. Visible 2026 course pages include RYA Level 1 Start Sailing, Level 2 Basic Skills, Level 3 Better Sailing, Start Racing, youth stages, powerboat, safety boat, and first aid categories.
Taster
The learn-to-sail page invites interested people to come to open days. The blind and visually impaired sailing page also says the club can run taster sessions and training programmes during the season. I did not find a general current public taster-session booking page with dates on the visible pages checked.

Suitability

Juniors, families, and accessibility

Juniors
The club runs Super Sailors for ages 8 to 16 on sailing Saturdays from spring to autumn, with RYA-qualified instruction, buoyancy aids and helmets provided, and no previous experience required. Juniors must be club members and a parent or guardian must stay during sessions. Family membership is described on the join page.
Access
The club has a dedicated blind and visually impaired sailing page describing guided instruction, inclusive communication, adapted equipment, tactile and verbal guidance, and a buddy system. The page gives contact@tamworthsc.co.uk for joining or volunteering enquiries.

Prices

Visible official pages list 2026 course prices including RYA Level 1 at GBP 140 including temporary individual membership, RYA Level 1 and 2 at GBP 430 including individual membership or GBP 220 for existing members, RYA Level 2 at GBP 290 including membership or GBP 110 for existing full members, and RYA Youth Stages at GBP 58 per person for members only. The join page says membership fees are listed on the 2026 application form; the official PDF contains membership fee information but should be checked visually before importing exact category prices because text extraction is not clean.

Membership

Official site describes a friendly club on a 45 acre Kingsbury Water Park lake, with RYA adult and junior courses, junior sailing, social sailing, racing, membership for families and accessible blind/visually impaired sailing sessions.

Boat hire· Unclear
I found evidence that club training boats are available at no extra charge for students, and juniors are helped with club/session boats, but I did not find a clear current official offer of general sailing boat hire or public hire pricing.
