Beginner
The club explicitly welcomes complete beginners at its 2026 open day and says its Improver and Youth training is suitable for adults and kids new to sailing who want to improve through practice and workshops. The homepage advises people looking to learn to sail to talk to the Improvers Team for advice on the best way to start.
Training
Shoreham Sailing Club runs Improver and Youth training from April through autumn, with practice and sailing workshops. Current official pages do not show a current RYA dinghy course schedule; older RYA powerboat/race-officer course posts are historic and were not treated as current availability.
Taster
The Improvers page invites people to register for a first free taster session. The 2026 open day also advertised free taster sails, weather dependent, with no sailing experience necessary.
