The Learn to Sail page says Brighton Sailing Club opens 12 memberships each year for individuals with no prior sailing experience. The 2026 programme includes membership, RYA Level 1, coached Saturday sailing, free use of club-owned boats during coached sessions and safety-boat cover.
Training
Brighton Sailing Club is explicit that it is not a commercial sailing school and does not generally provide instruction. Training is limited to the annual Learn to Sail programme for up to 12 people, with no teaching outside that programme, plus occasional informal member practice sessions that are not guaranteed.
