Training

Taster
Taster options are currently advertised by the lake operator. Welsh Water says its 90-minute taster sessions include sailing, paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking, and its sailing page lists an Introduction to Sailing session with an instructor on board. The club adult sailing page also points beginners toward club taster sessions and directs adult beginners to Llandegfedd Watersports.

Juniors, families, and accessibility

Juniors
Juniors and families are supported. The club says it welcomes individuals and families, and its youth page describes youth training, race development and a junior pathway. The youth page says junior members use club Toppers for training sessions and, once signed off, for use by junior members; it also says there are club Fevas and Lasers. Welsh Water lists youth sailing courses and says junior sailing courses are RYA recognised.

Current official club membership and berth prices are published. Club membership fees shown are Junior/Youth £50, Student £50, Senior £110, Single Adult £110 and Family £150. Berth permit costs shown are Standard Berth Permit £135, Second Berth £110 and Junior Berth £110; the berth cost includes the reservoir sailing permit and parking permit. Course, taster and hire prices were not visible on the static official pages checked.

Membership

Official club and Welsh Water pages describe membership for racing, training, coaching, social activity and use of club boats; junior sailing starts from age 8. Welsh Water also lists bookable sailing introductions, RYA junior courses and Sailability sessions at the reservoir.

Boat hire
Boat access is available, but public hire terms and prices were not found on the static official pages checked. The club says it has a fleet of adult and junior club boats for people who can sail, and Welsh Water says Llandegfedd Sailing Club membership allows members to use club boats. The youth page says the club has Toppers for training and for signed-off junior members, plus Fevas and Lasers as club boats.
