Beginner
Hamble River Sailing Club is suitable for beginners through its RYA Training Centre. The official adult sailing page lists RYA Level 1 as introducing people to sailing and lists combined RYA Level 1 & 2 with no previous experience necessary. The youth RYA Stage 1 & 2 course is described as accessible to complete beginners for ages 6-17.
Training
The club says it has been a recognised RYA Training Centre since 2005 and runs dinghy sailing, powerboat, first aid and some shore-based courses. Taster
The official youth sailing page says dedicated taster sessions are available for non-members to try sailing at HRSC, charged at GBP 10 per taster session for a maximum of two sessions before joining. The training centre page also says HRSC can offer sailing and powerboating experiences, including bespoke activity for groups. Racing open events were not used as evidence for beginner tasters.
