Beginner
Dittisham Sailing Club has current junior beginners training, adult and junior dinghy training through its RYA Recognised Training Centre, and club boats intended for introduction to sailing for new members and for training. The junior beginners course teaches children to sail independently in Toppers under supervision.

The club says it is a Recognised RYA Training Centre approved to offer training including adult and junior dinghy sailing and racing, powerboat and safety boat, VHF operation, and RYA First Aid. Courses are generally organised to meet demand. The junior page lists 2026 beginners and Stage 2 sailing courses.
I found no current official page advertising public taster sessions or open days. Club boats and training support introductory sailing for members, but the site does not clearly publish a separate current taster-session offer.
The club has a junior sailing programme for Junior Members aged 9+, with 2026 beginners and Stage 2 courses. Children under 18 join as part of a Family Membership, and the junior beginners course is free for the season for Family Members of DSC.

The official membership page lists current annual rates including Single Adult Dittisham Resident £55.50, Single Adult Non-Dittisham £93.50, Social £31.50, Student £30.00, Family Dittisham Residents £77.50, and Family Non-Dittisham Residents £115.50; adult and family categories show a £75 joining fee where listed. The junior page says the 2026 beginners course is free for the season for Family Members and Stage 2 is £60 for the season for Family Members. The club boats page says club boats are free within a member's first year, free for junior members, free at recognised RYA training events, and otherwise may be used at organised club events for a £5 donation.
The club says there are currently fifteen club boats available to members, including Laser, Zests, Toppers, and Fevas. Boats must be booked out and are for organised events and training rather than unsupervised sailing.
