Training
The sailing page says the club is unable to offer practical training courses, but does offer RYA theory courses from time to time, such as RYA Day Skipper, ICC, Radar and DSC VHF, plus information sessions on First Aid, knots and splices, sails and rigging.
The club says taster days can be provided and that during the sailing season it tries to have two or three open days where members make boats available to take visitors or prospective members out. Membership copy also says prospective sailing members can try before joining.
The official pages checked did not confirm a sailing junior programme or family sailing route. Gig rowing mentions age groups from teens to sixties, but that is not sailing-specific.

The membership fees page links to a 2025 fee PDF. It lists Family Membership GBP179, Ordinary Membership GBP153, Social Membership GBP28, Student Membership GBP30 and Junior Membership GBP30. The same PDF lists storage, river licence, work party opt-out and pontoon fees.
No public boat hire or club-owned dinghy hire was confirmed. Sailing access for newcomers appears to be through member boats, open days, crewing and club activities rather than a hire scheme.
