Training
The club says it is an RYA-recognised training centre. Adult courses cover RYA National Sailing Scheme Levels 1 and 2, and junior training covers RYA Youth Sailing Scheme Stages 1 and 2 for ages 8 to 16. The adult course page listed a 2026 RYA Level 1 and Level 2 course on 5, 6, 12 and 19 September 2026; the junior 2026 Stage 1 and Stage 2 course was shown as sold out.
The Discover Sailing page says people who want to try sailing before booking a course can take an approximately one-hour taster session with an experienced helm in a double-handed dinghy. It says these are offered on selected days through the year and cost GBP 5 per person.
The club describes itself as family-friendly, with members from age 5 to over 70, an active youth and junior fleet, junior activities, and RYA junior training for ages 8 to 16 with little or no previous sailing experience. Junior courses are open to members and non-members, though the 2026 junior beginner course was marked sold out.

Published prices include sailing taster sessions at GBP 5 per person, adult RYA Level 1 and 2 course fee of GBP 250 plus four months membership at GBP 17.46 per month, total GBP 319.84 for non-members, junior course fee of GBP 170 plus four months membership at GBP 4.20 per month and GBP 10 supporter membership if the parent or guardian is not a member, total GBP 196.80, SUP half-day or evening hire at GBP 10, annual unlimited standard dinghy hire at GBP 155, performance 2000-inclusive annual hire at GBP 260, topper/optibat-only annual hire at GBP 80, all junior boats annual hire at GBP 125, and annual unlimited SUP hire at GBP 155, GBP 115 from June, or GBP 77.50 from August 1. The membership page says joining is via the website and payments are by monthly direct debit, but did not show a full membership fee list in the fetched text.
Boat hire is available to members only. The club says members need to have completed RYA Level 2 to hire a dinghy, and SUP hirers need SUP experience and an informal club induction. The hire fleet listed includes Lasers, Picos, Toppers, Teras, Optibats, RS Visions, RS Fevas, high-performance 2000s, and 6 SUPs. Boats and SUPs may be unavailable during training courses.
