The club says the Camel Estuary setting is suitable for sailors of all skill levels and waterskiing can include learning. However, use of club Fusion dinghies requires sufficient competence, typically RYA Level 3 or equivalent, so a complete adult beginner should contact the club before assuming they can start directly.

Training

Youth Sailing says local children learn to sail to RYA III through CEYS before joining RSWSC youth sailing activities. The sailing page also describes race officer training notes and separate training for committee boat driving and club VHF radios. The waterski page points to SBD2 ski boat driver training locally via Camel Ski School, but does not advertise an adult beginner sailing course run by the club.
