Orwell Yacht Club has clear beginner routes. Adult training includes a Level 1 course for people who have never stepped in a boat or are rusty, and junior training uses larger club training dinghies with instructors onboard for beginners.
Training
The club offers junior training and adult dinghy training. Adult training follows the RYA National Sailing Scheme Levels 1, 2 and 3, using club training boats and supervised time afloat. Junior training is run by voluntary OYC instructors and helpers, with safety boat cover.
