The membership page says there are no prerequisites other than an interest in sailing, that MKSC welcomes new members whatever their experience, and that new sailors can take regular RYA Level 1/2 training courses. The youth page says youth squad members range from total beginners to advanced students.

Training

The training page says RYA qualified instructors run combined novice RYA Level 1 and improver RYA Level 2 dinghy courses each year. It lists a future July 2026 course running on 1, 4, 5, 8, 11 and 12 July, with students required to be at least 18 years old and to join the club. The RYA directory also lists Milton Keynes Sailing Club as a training centre with dinghy, youth dinghy and powerboat courses.
