Beginner
The membership page says there are no prerequisites other than an interest in sailing, that MKSC welcomes new members whatever their experience, and that new sailors can take regular RYA Level 1/2 training courses. The youth page says youth squad members range from total beginners to advanced students.
Training
The training page says RYA qualified instructors run combined novice RYA Level 1 and improver RYA Level 2 dinghy courses each year. It lists a future July 2026 course running on 1, 4, 5, 8, 11 and 12 July, with students required to be at least 18 years old and to join the club. The RYA directory also lists Milton Keynes Sailing Club as a training centre with dinghy, youth dinghy and powerboat courses.
Taster
No current general MKSC open day was found on the checked club pages. MK Sailability, based at the Caldecotte sailing setup, says first-timers and new members can have a free taster session, and the MKSC membership page says prospective members can visit any Sunday lunchtime to talk sailing.

The youth page says the Youth Squad is for ages 8 to 16, ranges from total beginners to advanced students, meets roughly every two weeks on Sundays, and works towards RYA Stages at each child's pace and ability. The membership page lists family, social family, student and youth squad membership categories.
Access
The MKSC Saturday access post refers to Sailability days at the clubhouse and asks members to be considerate of participants who may be neurodiverse. MK Sailability says it helps young people and adults with disabilities get on the water at Caldecotte Lake and welcomes sailors with physical disabilities and learning difficulties of any age.

The training page lists the combined RYA Level 1 and 2 dinghy course at GBP 150 plus membership.

RYA and Parks Trust sources describe Milton Keynes Sailing Club as a Caldecotte Lake club promoting sailing in Milton Keynes, with dinghy racing, windsurfing, training centre status and junior/wider membership. MK Sailability is based at/part of the MKSC Caldecotte setup.

Boat hire
The homepage says the club maintains a small fleet for training purposes and some club events. It says club boats are open to recent RYA course graduates to help develop experience and to existing members for occasional use if their own boat is out of commission; users must have an RYA Level 2 certificate and be competent for the conditions. No public boat-hire price was found.
