Beginner
Beginners can start through member-only training: the adult RYA 1&2 course says no prior experience is necessary. Social sails are also described as welcoming all abilities, though sailors still need to be safe for conditions.
Training
Training is available to LSC members. The official training page lists adult dinghy RYA 1&2, RYA Day Sailing, seamanship, Safety Boat, Powerboat Level 2, junior RYA training and first aid routes; the adult RYA 1&2 course is a 4-day course costing GBP 200.
Taster
A current upcoming event on the official homepage lists 'Try a Club dinghy, paddleboard...' on June 20, 2026 with 'Try a boat' on-water wording. The membership charges page also lists temporary junior membership per day for junior try-out sessions, max 3 per junior.

Juniors, families, and accessibility

Juniors
The club describes itself as a family sailing club and lists family membership. Juniors aged 8-18 have a regular junior section, JIB sessions from April to September, and Junior Week with RYA instruction.
Access
Langstone Sailability caters for members with physical, sensory or mental disabilities. The official page says facilities include a wheelchair-accessible lift and changing facilities, with accessible boats including trimarans, a Wayfarer, Norfolk Oyster and landing-craft-style launch.

Prices

The 2026 charges page lists annual membership examples: adult GBP 116 plus GBP 48 partner, veteran GBP 85 plus GBP 48 partner, student/junior/youth GBP 48, young adult GBP 58 plus GBP 48 partner, family GBP 200, and temporary membership GBP 52/month. Initial entrance fees are GBP 100 for adult/joint/family and GBP 60 for young adult. Adult RYA 1&2 training is GBP 200; club dinghy and paddlecraft hire is GBP 10/day, with club boats free for juniors where a junior is sailing.

Boat hire
Dinghy hire is available only to Langstone Sailing Club members. The official booking page lists 2 RS Quest, 4 RS Feva, 6 RS Tera, 1 RS Vision and 3 Pico, with club boats at GBP 10/day and free for juniors; hirers must be competent sailors, minimum RYA Level 2. Paddlecraft hire is also listed for members.
