The current official site says Glossop Watersports is a members-based club offering expert training and guidance with activities for all skill levels and ages from age 8 to adult. Current membership text says beginners should contact the club before joining: experienced applicants are referred to a sport captain, while novices requiring training are kept informed when courses will run. For junior dinghy beginners, the current subscription page adds an important caveat: it currently has no ability to support novice junior dinghy sailors unless a parent or guardian joins as an adult member and accompanies them whenever they are on the water.

Training

The current official pages say the club offers training for beginners, is an officially recognised RYA Training Centre, and runs several RYA training courses each year. The official WebCollect home page says RYA training is offered in windsurfing and power boat handling to junior and adult members, from complete beginner to advanced and instructor level. No current public WebCollect training events were listed when checked, so current bookable course dates and sailing-specific course prices were not found.
