Frampton on Severn Sailing Club has current beginner evidence for both adults and juniors, but courses appear to be member-booked through WebCollect. The adult RYA Level 1 & 2 page describes a beginners course with no experience necessary, close supervision by RYA instructors, club boats, provided buoyancy aids, and a target outcome of basic independent sailing in moderate wind conditions. The junior pages say complete newcomers are welcome in the junior and family programme, with first-time youth training from age 7 through Optimists and RYA Stage 1 & 2 for junior beginners.

No current official page checked clearly advertises a public taster session, open day, or try-sailing session with bookable availability. The home page listed a May 2026 Frampton Fun Weekend as all ages and abilities welcome, but that date is before this check date and should not be treated as current availability. The junior page mentions Friday night social sailing and bank holiday weekenders for families, but not as public taster sessions.

Juniors
The club has strong current junior and family evidence. Its junior page welcomes young sailors and families, says the junior programme runs year-round, and lists monthly Junior Club, RYA junior training for ages 7-18, Junior/Rookie racing, Junior Week, Friday night social sailing in summer, and family-friendly bank holiday weekend events. Membership pricing includes family membership for up to two adults and children under 18, and the Join FOSSC page says family membership includes all under-18s in the household.
Access
The club has a Sailability section. The Sailability page says it gives anyone the opportunity to sail regardless of physical or mental ability, runs Saturdays from April to October, uses specially designed and adapted boats, allows sailors to sail independently or with an experienced buddy, has powerboats adapted for wheelchair roll-on access and wheelchair users, and has fully accessible canteen, changing and toilet facilities. It also lists sailability@fossc.org.uk for participation or helper enquiries.

Course availability and booking require WebCollect/member login.

Official site has a Join link and current club activity; it describes RYA courses, juniors, racing and Sailability.

Boat hire
Club boats are available for members, but public boat hire was not found. The Training page says club boats are available for use on courses. The Classes page says the club owns Gulls, Wanderers, Toppers, Optimists and a couple of Lasers, primarily for training, and they can be borrowed by club members for trying classes, Friday evening social sailing, or by special arrangement. The junior page says monthly Junior Club members do not need their own boat because club boats are available at no charge. Sailability has Access dinghies for Sailability members.
