Beginner
Donaghadee Sailing Club explicitly welcomes new members without their own equipment, offers adult beginner sailing and RYA training, and says it has courses suitable for any ability level. Its club-equipment page also describes GP14s as used for training beginners and Laser Picos as teaching boats for new sailors.
Training
The club says it is an RYA accredited training centre and RYA Recognised Regional Training Centre, with adult and junior dinghy, keelboat and powerboat courses from Easter into autumn. Course booking is via the club calendar.
Taster
A current 2026 open day, Get Wet - 4th July, invites family and friends to try activities on, in or off the water, including social sailing in the bay and the opportunity to try a variety of boats from the club fleet. Older WOW 2025 introductory-session details were not used as current availability.

Juniors, families, and accessibility

Juniors
The club has a Junior and Youth section for ages 8-16, says juniors often start through RYA OnBoard, and lists 2026 youth sailing courses for ages 8-17. Family membership is also published for two adults and children under 18 or in full-time education.
Access
The official training page says Donaghadee Sailing Club is an RYA Sailability Centre and offers sailing experiences to people with certain disabilities. I found no current official detail on physical access features, adapted boats, step-free access or accessible changing facilities.

Prices

Published prices include 2026 membership fees: Full Member £170 plus £10 joining fee, Family Membership £245 plus £10 joining fee, Junior/Student £61 plus £10 joining fee, and Social £68 plus £10 joining fee. The RYA Youth Stage 1 & 2 2026 course is listed at £200 member, £180 member sibling, £225 non-member, and £210 non-member sibling. Dinghy and boat park storage fees are also published per six months.

Membership

Official site welcomes sailors and non-sailors, says members do not need their own equipment, and lists RYA training, club boats, junior/youth sailing and women-on-water activity.

Boat hire
The club says members can hire club equipment subject to terms and conditions, and says members, including juniors and adults, have access to club boats and equipment when competently trained. This appears to be member equipment use or hire, not public walk-up hire.
