The club says all abilities are welcome, explicitly including people who have never been in a boat, novices, and people brand new to watersports.
Training
Members can get ongoing training through regular club sessions: sailing on Sundays and canoe/kayak sessions on Thursday evenings. The club says it is not currently able to provide paddleboarding instruction.
Clywedog Sailing and Paddlesports Club is an RYA-affiliated and Sailability-recognised reservoir club on Llyn Clywedog, with sailing, racing, accessible sailing, training tuition and paddlesports.
The club says its fleet supports open days and taster sessions, and the Sailability page has a 2026 invitation to come and try sailing by arrangement. No regular public taster schedule was found; the FAQ says non-members without kit should use Brenin Adventures rather than club-run sessions.
The club describes members of all ages and skill levels, offers family and cadet membership categories, and lists junior-suitable boats including Fevas for juniors up to 16 and Hansa dinghies described as ideal for small adults or juniors.
Access
The club says it is an RYA Sailability Centre with disabled access, disabled facilities, a wheelchair-accessible jetty/pontoon access, a wheelie boat, hoist access, and specialist accessible boats.

Prices
2026 fees are published: family membership £135, individual £90, cadet £35, associate £25; boat registration includes dinghy £50, windsurfer £20, cruiser/moored vessel £70, canoe/kayak/paddle board £20. Day membership is £10 per person per day. Camping fees are also published separately.

The FAQ says the club does not hire out sail or paddle craft. Members can use club craft and equipment during club-led sessions, generally at no charge in the 2026 season, but club craft are not generally available for casual use outside those activities.
