Training
RYA recognised training centre offering sailing courses for adults and youth, plus windsurfing, wing foiling, SUP and powerboat courses. Sailing courses include adult Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3, seamanship, youth Stages 1-4 and tasters.
Northampton Sailing Club is a large RYA-affiliated inland club on Pitsford Reservoir with sailing, racing, training, youth activity and wider watersports.
Sailing taster courses are described as a two-hour relaxed introduction at the reservoir. A 2026 open day dated 2 May appears on the homepage but is stale as of 2026-06-13.
Youth courses cover RYA Stages 1-4. Membership benefits include a youth coaching programme, and Junior Pirates club runs Wednesday evenings April to September for ages 8 to 16.

Members can hire club equipment, including Laser 1, Laser 2000, RS Fevas, Fusions, Solo, Vareo, Toppers, Picos, SUPs and windsurfing kit. Minimum experience standards and conditions apply.
