Beginner
North Devon Yacht Club says it is an accredited RYA Training Centre with courses for first-time sailors, and its Adult Level 1 course says no sailing experience is required. Training and course bookings are for members.
Training
The club states that it is recognised by the RYA as a training establishment and offers RYA training for dinghy sailing, youth training, power boats, instructor training and other courses. The dinghy course page lists Adult Level 1 and 2, Adult Level 3, advanced modules and instructor routes; the training page says course participants need to be club members.
Taster· Unclear
No current official evidence was found for public taster sails, try-sailing sessions, beginner open days, or a current non-member introductory sailing offer. The site does list Open Week 2026, but describes it as racing for sailing boat classes rather than a beginner taster or open day.
