Beginner
The club welcomes new members and invites interested people to visit when the bar is open. Its current event list includes Practice / Experience Day entries, and its cadet page says young people aged 8-17 can learn to sail and that potential new cadets can come to a club night to try it out.
Training
The club states that it does not offer training directly. It has associations with RYA-recognised establishments, offers member discounts with Essex Outdoors at Bradwell and Perfect Day Watersports, and offers contributions to adult or cadet members undertaking selected RYA-certified courses including Sailing Level 1-2, Powerboat 2 or Safety Boat.
Taster
The current official event list includes Practice / Experience Day sessions on 14 June 2026 and 5 July 2026. The cadets page also says potential new cadets are welcome to come to a club night at 18:30 and try it out.

Boat hire
Club dinghies are available for member use rather than evidenced as public hire.
