The club describes itself as suitable for beginner, intermediate and experienced windsurfers and stand up paddle boarders, and says its windsurfing and SUP equipment is available to members and ideal for beginners and intermediate users.

The current official pages checked did not state that formal courses, RYA training, or structured training sessions are available. The club does say members can work on techniques on club nights and that practical help is usually available from club members at weekends.
The official WebCollect home page says a taster session booked through the website must be completed at the lake before a membership application is approved. Upcoming Introductory Taster Sessions are listed, including a 16 June 2026 session at 18:00 priced at GBP 10 with booking through WebCollect.
The club says weekend lake visits are often family days and younger family members can try windsurfing or SUP at their own pace with practical help usually available. Juniors under 18 must join as part of a family group and be accompanied by a parent or guardian from that membership.

Current WebCollect prices list annual membership at GBP 66 for an adult single membership and GBP 88 for family membership, running from 1 July to 30 June. The page also lists a GBP 10 cabin key deposit, Watermead ANPR car park access at GBP 35 for new access and GBP 25 for renewal, and an Introductory Taster Session at GBP 10.
Club equipment use is evidenced for members rather than as public hire: the official home page says the club has a range of windsurfing and stand up paddle boarding equipment available to members, ideal for beginner and intermediate users.
