Beginner
Castle Semple says new members are welcome and invites young, old, experienced and novice sailors onto the water. The joining page says people can learn to sail or race in a friendly environment and that boat ownership is not required because club boats are available for members.
Training
Training is available, but it is limited rather than a full current RYA course list on the checked pages. The cadets page says regular cadet training is not currently offered, but occasional Sunday morning training sessions take place for cadet members, and the club-boat fleet includes beginner/training boats such as Laser Pico and Topaz Omega.
Taster
Castle Semple has a Try Sailing page and says it is keen to get people onto the water to try dinghy sailing. As of the May 2026 update, it had a backlog and was not taking new notes of interest, so this should be shown as a try-sailing route with no current spaces confirmed.

Juniors
The cadet section is open to ages 8-17. Cadets can take part in Sunday afternoon and Wednesday evening club sailing when safety cover is in place, occasional Sunday morning training, and club racing or general sailing. Cadet membership is listed at GBP50, with another GBP50 fee to use club boats if the cadet does not have their own.
Access
The official site shows Castle Semple hosted the Scottish Challenger Traveller Series 2026 Qualifier in association with Sailability Scotland SCIO. This confirms disability-sailing activity at the club, but no general weekly adaptive sailing or disabled-access visitor details were found on the checked pages.

Annual membership costs are listed as Family GBP100, Adult GBP70, Cadet under 18 GBP50, Youth aged 18-30 GBP60 and Social GBP20. Additional fees apply for club boat use and boat space/storage. The cadets page specifically lists Cadet membership at GBP50 plus a GBP50 fee to use club boats if the cadet does not have their own.

Membership

Official racing page welcomes sailors to join racing with their own boat, a signed-off club boat or as crew. RYA directory lists the club as an affiliated RYA Club.
