Beginner
CLYC welcomes people new to sailing and says members can learn to sail in big or small boats, crew with other members or sail a club dinghy. It offers adult RYA National Sailing Scheme courses, youth RYA courses and B-Fleet dinghy racing for new sailors and juniors.
Training
CLYC is an RYA affiliate Training Centre and Champion Club. It runs RYA Youth Sailing Programme courses for ages 8-18 during July and August, adult RYA National Sailing Scheme courses from Level 1 Start Sailing through Level 4 Seamanship, and can train up to instructor level.
Taster
The 2026 site listed an Open Day on 17 May at 14:00 and kept an Open Day pre-registration link in the navigation. The event had passed by this refresh date, so it should be treated as evidence that open days are offered, not as a currently upcoming date.
