The club offers Discover Sailing for people who want to try sailing, RYA dinghy courses from Level 1 for complete beginners, and social sailing intended to help new and experienced sailors sail together.
Training
The club offers RYA dinghy courses from Level 1 for complete beginners through to Start Racing, with courses suitable for adults and junior sailors aged 8 and upwards. The courses page says sailing courses generally run between April and September and powerboat courses run through the year.
The Discover Sailing page lists Discover Sailing Day on 30 May 2026, where the club opens to the public to try sailing with an experienced sailor. It asks interested people to register by email because boats and helms are allocated by expected visitor numbers. The contact page also says people new to sailing can use General Enquiries to arrange a trial sail.
The RYA dinghy course page says courses are suitable for adults and junior sailors aged 8 and upwards, with juniors able to work through the RYA Dinghy Youth scheme.

The How to join and Club Fees page says membership is via WebCollect, a GBP 100 one-off joining fee applies, and memberships start from GBP 80 per year. The Dinghy Hire page lists member training-boat hire at GBP 10 per session for a Pico, Topper or Topaz and GBP 15 per session for a Topper Sport 14, Laser 2000 or GP14.
The Dinghy Hire page says club training boats are available for hire by club members when not being used for training or coaching, with safety-cover restrictions and session prices. This supports member dinghy hire, not public walk-up hire.
